Industry Expert Lynda Smith enthusiastic about being part of the first ever Retirement Expo in South Africa

South African retirement expert and CEO of the Refirement Network, Lynda Smith will be sharing her knowledge and expertise at this year’s first ever Retirement Expo to be held in
Gauteng later this year. With over 30 years of business experience and extensive knowledge of the retirement market, Lynda has a unique set of skills and knowledge to help the local Baby Boomer market understand the opportunities and challenges that the future holds for this demographic group. Her work as a
retirement coach focuses around helping Baby Boomers plan for their next season of life and identify where they can still add value in business and society.
She will be exhibiting at the Retirement Expo and focusing on retirement trends, such as remaining productive in the second half of life, positive ageing, life-long learning, technology, encore careers and how to prepare for this new stage of life. There will be daily free informative, interactive workshops for the benefit of visitors to the event and will provide visitors with the opportunity to listen to industry leaders and to get answers to any related queries they may have.

Baby Boomers refer to those born between 1946 and 1966. They make up the most populace generation who typically grew up amid economic prosperity, suburban affluence and strong
nuclear families with stay-at-home moms. Boomers tend to be optimistic, competitive and focus on personal accomplishment. They are a generation that works hard and created the career ladder. Of the 3 790 324 people living in Gauteng, 1 209 256 are in their 40’s, making the Baby Boomer market a third of the Gauteng population, and the Retirement Expo an ideal opportunity to meet with this enormous target market.
